Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors - July 19, 2022

Consideration of adopting Resolution 74-22 approving Grant Agreement 22- 10304 between the California Department of Public Health and the Tuolumne County Public Health Department to continue the Women, Infants and Children program, in the amount of $745,042 annually, commencing on October 1, 2022 and ending on September 30, 2025, authorizing the Board Chair to sign the grant agreement and authorize the County Administrator to sign all further grant related documents.

Public hearing and consideration of waiving the second reading and adopting an ordinance adding Chapter 3.29 of the Tuolumne County Ordinance Code imposing a 1% Transaction and Use Tax (Sales Tax) in the unincorporated area of Tuolumne County to fund sheriff, fire, and road services, subject to voter approval and expiring after 10 years (4/5 vote required); 2) Consideration of adopting Resolution 76-22 calling an election to submit to the voters of Tuolumne County the proposed Sales Tax and ordering the election be consolidated with the statewide general election scheduled for November 8, 2022 (4/5 vote required)

Discussion related to the termination of the contract between Adventist Health Sonora and Blue Cross, and consideration of approving a letter to Anthem Blue Cross of California.
