Rugby may have a tough reputation, but in Tuolumne County it’s also about community, fitness, and fun. In this episode of The Conversation, host Ryan Campbell talks with Zach Calvert and Joel Wilde of the Bark Beetles Rugby Club, a co-ed touch rugby group that has met weekly for nearly a decade. They discuss what rugby really is, how touch rugby works, the sport’s culture of respect and camaraderie, and why newcomers of all ages are welcome. Practices take place every Tuesday evening.
